My paintings have been included and have won awards in many of the Southeastern Pastel
Society’s juried shows.
In addition, my paintings have been exhibited in the “Little Things Mean a Lot” shows
at the Swan Coach House Gallery, shows Spruill Gallery, Limelight Gallery, ArtWalk
at Lenox Square, Marietta-Cobb Museum of Art, Oglethorpe University Gallery, and
Quinlan Visual Arts Center.
Although my primary medium is pastel, I also work in oils, watercolor, watercolor
pencil, and pen and ink. I am known for vibrant food paintings where the fruits
and vegetables are more real than reality. I also enjoy painting landscapes, European
buildings, house portraits, pet portraits, as well as close-ups of flowers.
I began teaching workshops in 2003 at the Spruill Arts Center in Dunwoody. For those
people who have special interests or size requirements, I have created numerous commissioned
pet portraits, house portraits, and landscapes from my photographs or by referencing
the requestor’s own vacation photographs.
