Sharon received a B.A. Degree with honors in Pictorial Arts and a Teaching Credential from UCLA. She works in a variety of painting and drawing media and has participated in many juried group shows, with some paintings winning awards. This pomegranate painting won First Place for Faculty in a recent Spruill Gallery show juried by a curator from the High Museum. Her paintings are in many private collections throughout the country.
Sharon has been teaching painting and drawing classes since 2003. She started teaching adult Saturday workshops while pursuing a full time corporate career in health care information technology. She retired from the I.T. position in 2016 and is now teaching teen classes too. She applies her structured corporate training experience to art classes.
Sharon is a Member of Excellence of the Southeastern Pastel Society and is also a member and publicity chair of Dunwoody Fine Art Association. She opened an Etsy shop where she sells mostly small paintings, many from her travels. If you see a painting you like on this site, she will post it to Etsy where you can purchase it using their secure payment facility.
A pastel painting of apples on black tile is included in the show. The exhibition is through July 8 at the Spruill Gallery in Dunwoody.
This oil painting of homegrown tomatoes was in the Best of the Best show at the Dunwoody Library. Paintings are also displayed at the Feldman Law office in Dunwoody.
One of Sharon's paintings from her pandemic series was included in the Southeastern Pastel Society's exhibition at the Alpharetta Arts Center in November 2022
